Lent is a time to reflect on our lives.  It is the time to realign our lives.  We begin with Ash Wednesday.  It is time to "in the name of the church, to observe a holy Lent:  by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's Holy Word" (The United Methodist Book of Worship. Nashvillee:  The United Methodist Publishing House, 1992, 322 from The Book of Common Prayer, 1979, Public Domain).

On our journey through Lent, be prepared to realize that we all have work to do in our spiritual lives:  rehab, explore and learn.   Let us strive to make ourselves and others around us stronger in the way of Jesus.
